Thank you to all who assisted with the Turkey Raffle and Christmas Parade. Congratulations to those who no longer have to purchase a turkey for their dinner!
Dan Mackey and team will be advancing to the District Dart Tournament in Hespeler. Good luck Dan!
Don’t forget, everyone is welcome to come out for a fun day of darts every Thursday at 3 p.m.
The next Trivia night at the hall will be the second Friday of the month. Check the legion signs for updates.
For those of you who store trivia in their brain and have quick recall come out with a team or come by yourself and join a team. All proceeds go to worthy causes in the community and winners earn esteem and bragging rights!
The next euchre night will be on the last Friday of the month at 7 p.m. All are welcome!
Come out for an afternoon of fun and a chance to win your dinner at the Meat Draw every Saturday at 4:30 p.m. See you there!
Ladies’ Auxiliary News
Special thanks to Susan Lyons for organizing the goody bags for the Santa Claus parade and also to all who participated to make this a fun day.
The Ladies have got into the generosity of Christmas spirit by donating thousands of dollars to charitable and worthy causes in our community! Here is a list of those organizations we have donated to:
The Fire Fighters’ Toy Drive, the War Amps, the Women’s Shelter Grey Bruce, Chapman House, The United Way Grey-Bruce, The Tobermory Food Bank, The Veterans’ Wish List, Tobermory Outreach, The Homeless Vets Program and the St. Edmund’s Public School Playground initiative.
It is worth noting the Tobermory Legion donates to many of these organizations as well and both the Ladies Auxiliary and Legion are happy to assist these worthwhile causes. If your organization could use some assistance, forward your request to both organizations in writing.
