June 14, 1943 – January 29, 2026. Larry Edward Boyd passed away on January 29, 2026. He was in his 83rd year. He is survived by Jane (Treble) Boyd, his devoted wife of 59 years. He was the loving and often less-than-tactful-father of Julie Boyd and Jeff Boyd (Annette Adlam). A proud spoiler of his grandchildren: Holly Quinlan (Darcy), Emily Courtney (Brett), and Bella Moore (Madison). A gentle tormentor of his wee great-grandchildren: Hart and Navy Quinlan, and Gray and Sage Courtney. Larry was one of six siblings and is survived by his sister Carolyn Yundt, who had to endure five brothers-God love her. Larry was an enthusiast of hunting, fishing, reading, hockey, and old Western movies. He was also often referred to as a mechanical ‘genius.’ And also the Charlie Daniel’s of the torque wrench. Good food and good laughs were always had in his presence. He will be forever in our hearts, and because of this, his legacy continues. ‘May the road rise to meet you, may the wind be always at your back…and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.’ Private family arrangements entrusted to the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, Wiarton. Expressions of remembrance to the Lion’s Head Hospital c/o Bruce Peninsula Hospitals Foundation would be appreciated. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family through www.georgefuneralhome.com
