DUNLEAVY, ANNE – There are so many nice verses available in memory of lost loved ones, but do they really tell what I feel? You are gone 7 years but to me it feels like 7 decades and more. I miss your voice, your smile, your touch, your knowledge, love, wisdom, understanding, advise and so much more.

SHAW, Charlie
Deep in our hearts
You’ll always stay,
Love and missed

SHAW,Charlie – In loving memory of Charlie Shaw
July 15, 2017.
Remembering you is so easy,
We do it everyday,
But missing you is such a heartache,
That never goes away.
We hold you so tightly within our hearts
and their you will remain,
Until the joyous day arrives
That we will meet again.
Deeply missed & forever loved,

In 1976 I worked at the museum at Tobermory. After getting the museum ready for the season, at times we had no visitors. I wanted something to do when we were not busy. I made a sign. It took me all season to make it. I called the sign “Sunny Brooke Farm”. In 1982, February 14th our house burned down. A man driving a tractor with a load of posts was coming from our farm to a truck parked on the highway. The man never lowered the bucket on the tractor, he hit the hydro pole and knocked it down and pulled the live wire loose on our house, our house burnt later. The man driving the tractor, nor his boss, never said they were sorry or paid us nothing. We lost our house and almost everything in it. This is what they caused us for being nice. 1982 I missed my sign that I made. I looked all over the place for years and couldn’t find it. I thought it must have got burned in the house. February 2019 our outside water froze. Pipes froze hard as rock. That meant new pipes and the works. We had to get a man from Lion’s Head, Nathan Harrington Plumbing and his staff to fix our frozen water. Everything froze outside. Not enough snow, too much frost. While the men were working in the crawl space 5’ high, the men asked me if I could move the plastic barrels. I said sure. I moved the 3 barrels and there was my sign all nailed and spiked to the wall. I was so happy to see my sign. If the outside pipes hadn’t froze, I would never have found my sign. I was happy that the water outside froze up, I forgot about the debt the water cost me. The man that nailed & spiked my sign had a chip on his shoulders, smashed everything he came in contact with. I will order him off the place if I ever see him. It took me a long time to repair my sign, it took the stone hammer, wrecking bar and a block of wood split in half to get it off the wall. I would like to thank Nathan Harrington Plumbing and his staff for fixing our water system. I would like to thank John & Chris Hindman for putting my sign in front of the house amongst the flowers where it will stay.
