“We’re Canadian, Eh! Part Deux, The Sequel”
Submitted by Denise Burnett
The Bruce Peninsula Spirit Singers are proud to once again celebrate Canadian Composers and songs about Canada. They have a new selection for their Fall Concert entitled “We’re Canadian, Eh! Part Deux, The Sequel”.
Our summer concert was such a big success that we decided to continue on with the theme. But don’t worry, these are all different songs, well almost all. We will be bringing back one of our most requested songs, written by our director Vicki Corcoran, “Not a Snowballs Chance”. Vicki has been asked by many choirs and musical groups if they could perform this song, so we thought we would perform it again in our sequel. We will also be doing a song written by Don Edgar from Pike Bay called “The Pike Bay Song”. I understand many a Pike Bayer have sung this around a campfire or two!
In order to warm up for our concerts we will be performing for the residents of Gateway Haven and Golden Dawn.
Our concert schedule is Friday October 24 at 7:00pm at Lion’s Head United Church and Sunday October 26 at 2:00pm at Tobermory United Church. Admission is the usual low price of $10.00.
Please join us in celebrating Canadian Music!
