The third annual community Oktoberfest, co-sponsored by Rotary Club of Northern Bruce Peninsula and Tagwerk Bier, held at Rotary Hall on Saturday, September 27th was a great success with over 90 people attending afternoon and/or evening portions of the celebratory event.

Rotary thanks everyone who came out to enjoy the event which commenced with the ‘tapping of the cask’ at noon (which arrived by mule-drawn wagon at Rotary Hall), and the opening of our beer tent (featuring Tagwerk Draught and many other beverages). Oktoberfest-themed food (sausages, currywurst, sauerkraut, pretzels and strudel) was available in the afternoon, followed by music with the Paul Williamson Band at Rotary Hall in the evening, along with food and drink and the very popular beer stein hold contests held that night!

More photos from this year’s Oktoberfest event can be found on our Rotary Club website at: https://www.rotarynbp.org/photoalbums/oktoberfest-2025

The winners of this year’s Beer Stein Hold Contests were Rotarian Sue Kolundzic for the Ladies’ Competition (with a time of three minutes and ten seconds – this was Sue’s second year of winning the ladies event!), and Daniel Stewart for the Men’s Competition (with a time of four minutes and 42 seconds) – Congratulations Sue and Daniel!

Rotary thanks our sponsoring partner Tagwerk Bier, with special thanks to Master Brewer Christian Klaus Reimerschmid von der Heide who served as master of ceremonies throughout the Oktoberfest celebration event! We thank our volunteer Friends of Rotary who helped throughout the day and evening, making our third annual Oktoberfest a great success! We also thank Cedric and Ashley Scott for providing the wagon drawn by their mules Pearl and Becky for transporting the first beer cask to be tapped to open Oktoberfest 2025 at Rotary Hall! And we thank our very generous sponsors of this year’s Oktoberfest which included EPH Tools & Machining Ltd., T&P Hayes Investments, and Kyle & Kara of Hellyer’s Foodland, Lion’s Head!

Net proceeds from this Oktoberfest celebration event will go to the Rotary Hall Building Fund, towards refurbishing our beloved Rotary Hall!
