Hello April! Let us hope that with April comes lots of sunshine, warmer weather and spring flowers!

The Easter Bunny will be leaving some eggs at the branch on Saturday April 4th at 10:00am for the Annual Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary. Bring your children by for some Easter fun! Ages 12 and under welcome. (see ad on page 3)

Did you know? (which I am sure you do as I start the submission each time with this) that you can get a free legion membership, for new members, for this year only in celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the Royal Canadian Legion – a century of standing with Veterans, strengthening communities and honouring the memory of those who served. Please consider joining – this is your ‘free’ chance. We would love to add more people to this great organization AND to have a few new members at our local branch.

Tobermory Legion Branch 290 hosted the C-4 Spring Zone Convention on Sunday March 22nd. This convention was attended by approximately 60 people. The Branch served lunch to attendees, and some attendees arrived the evening before and attended the meat draw at the Legion. Overall, everyone had a great time.

A big thank you to The Trading Post for sponsoring our recent Irish Stew dinner. The stew and buns were fantastic, followed by very yummy desserts. Thank you to everyone that attended and supported the dinner.

The Ladies Auxiliary Winter BINGO is continuing on Mondays at the Tobermory Community Centre. Doors opened at 12:30pm with games starting at 1:00pm.

Meat draws are happening on Saturdays starting at 4:30pm.

On the second Friday of the month, come and test your smarts with Trivia night – bring some friends or join a team. Trivia starts at 7:00pm.

On the last Friday of the month, come with friends or join a group and play Euchre. Doors open at 6:45pm and games start at 7:00pm.

Try your luck at darts, every Thursday starting at 3:00pm.
