Public Presentation on Taiwan by Rotary Exchange Student Matthew

Our Rotary exchange student Matthew will give a public presentation on life and experiences in his home country of Taiwan, to be held at Rotary Hall on Tuesday, March 18th at 7 PM.

Matthew is now in the second term of his exchange visit to Canada, has been attending Bruce Peninsula District School (BPDS), and has been very active exploring the Bruce and trying out Canadian winter pastimes including snowshoeing (as seen in photo), skating and downhill skiing.

As well as being active in school volleyball, Matthew has joined the Outers at BPDS and participated in a three-day fall hike in Bruce Peninsula National Park.

For his presentation, Matthew will share experiences about his life in Taiwan, a sub-tropical country where the average February temperatures in the capital city of Taipei run between 14 and 20 degrees Celsius! Everyone is invited to come out to hear Matthew’s presentation at Rotary Hall – hope to see you there!

Continuing Sunday Coffee Socials through March

Your local Rotary Club will continue to hold Sunday Coffee Socials during March, at Rotary Hall from 10 AM to 2 PM each Sunday of the month. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate and light snacks (possibly hot homemade soup) will be available at each of these events.

We are hoping to partner with local vendors to hold one or more pop-up sales at these Sunday events – the latest news on scheduled pop-up sales with the Sunday Coffee Socials can be found on our facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/RotaryNBP/), or by checking out the news stories on the front page of our Club website (https://www.rotarynbp.org/).

Hope you can make it to our Sunday Coffee Socials!
