The 2024 Lion’s Head soccer season has come to an end after 8 weeks of fun, skill development and hard work.
50 players from grades JK to grade 5 took part in the program under the instruction of the volunteer coaches Kristen Sharma, Elijah Marcella, Nic Hutchinson, Michael, Barbara, Matthew Mocny and Adam and Anna Martens.
The players worked hard through every practice that was held each Tuesday evening at the Bruce Peninsula District School (BPDS) sports fields. Parents, players and coaches survived every weather imaginable in the last 8 weeks. And we praise everyone for toughing out the wind, rain, thunderstorms, blazing sun and sweltering heat- sometimes all during one practice.
Next year the program will begin May 6th with registration opening a month before. Please keep an eye on the Lion’s Head soccer Facebook page and the Bruce Peninsula Press for that announcement.
