The Hepworth Anglers Club thank Trillium Mutual Insurance Roots Program, for their $4,000.00 contribution to acquire a flow meter. The flow meter will be used in conjunction with data from monitoring stations and a weather station to manage Spring Creek, a cold water stream which contributes up to 40% of water in the Sauble River at their confluence during the summer.

An ongoing restoration project has increased spawning areas and nursery habit for Rainbow and lake run Brown Trout, Chinook and Coho Salmon. Spring Creek has become a natural reproducing migratory fish hatchery, providing an increased migratory fishery benefitting anglers in the Sauble River and Lake Huron.
