Book Sale June 15th, 11am-1pm
Press Release
The Friends of the Tobermory Library (FOTL) would like to thank all those who supported us throughout the winter by attending the Friday movies. Special thanks to the Friends of Bruce District Parks who provided the licence, and to Parks Canada for waiving the parking fees and providing the comfortable venue. Thanks also to the staff for welcoming us and running the films.
Chi-Cheemaun Festival weekend will soon be here, June 15th and 16th, and on Saturday the 15th we are having a book sale at the library from 11am to 1pm.
The library no longer holds an ongoing book sale, so we are now appealing to the public to part with a few gently used books for our sale. Books may be brought to the library on Thursday the 13th from 12pm to 6pm, on Friday the 14th from 10am to 2pm, or on the sale day Saturday the 15th from 10am to 11am.
The funds derived from both the movies and book sales are used by the FOTL to support the wonderful programs presented at the library, such as Raptors, Scales and crafts of all kinds. When craft supplies or snacks for the kids are needed, we provide those. If the kids need a bus, we pay for it. We have supported the Bookmobile as well.
Our corporate friends are important contributors to the FOTL and we thank them for their continuing support. A list of our corporate friends can be seen in the library.
Lastly, thanks to Katie and Alicia for all their hard work and making the Tobermory Library such a welcoming space.
