On Thursday June 20th, the Tobermory Gardening Club held their annual bus trip to visit Grey Bruce gardens. We didn’t let a little drizzle dampen our good spirits.
Our first stop was to enjoy a guided Tour of the Arboretum at Inglis Falls, which included some lovely specimens of native and more exotic trees including Tulip, Coffee trees and much more.
Our second stop was for lunch at the Dragonfly Bakery & Café where we enjoyed a wonderful lunch of a sandwich with choice of wonderful breads with a salad or soup and a delicious fruit pie with ice cream.
Our last stop was at Grange Hollows Gardens & Nursery in Desboro for a little plant retail therapy. A draw was held for a lovely peony back on the bus and then off back up to Tobermory.
A big thank you to First Student, Dragonfly Café, Brian Murray at the Arboretum, and Sarah & Katharine and Taylor & Brian at Grange Hollow and to our wonderful bus driver Marj. Marj we promise to be very good girls & boys on the bus next year.
