LIONS HEAD, ONTARIO — Local singer-songwriter Makenzy Williamson is set to release her debut full-length album, Had My Fill, on July 16th, marking a major milestone in a musical journey that began right here on the Bruce Peninsula.

Born and raised in Lion’s Head and a graduate of Bruce Peninsula District School (BPDS), Makenzy has been performing professionally since the age of 12 and writing songs since early childhood. Now 22, she is preparing to share her most personal and ambitious project to date: a 12-track rock album that explores the highs and lows of her life over the past decade.

Had My Fill blends powerful vocals, piano-driven melodies, gritty guitars and rock influences to tell stories of resilience, personal growth, and the challenges of pursuing a career in music. The album reflects many of the experiences that have shaped both Makenzy’s life, and those around her.

Recorded locally in Springmount, Ontario, Had My Fill showcases Makenzy’s evolution as both a songwriter and performer. The album features a collection of songs written over several years, with tracks such as, Never, having been written at the mere age of 14.

To celebrate the release, Makenzy will perform the album live in its entirety at her album release show on July 16th at The Painted Lady in Toronto. The performance will also feature opening act Burness, a female-fronted alternative rock band performing both original music and fan-favourite covers.

“These songs tell the story of some of the most impactful moments of my life,” says Makenzy. “This album has been years in the making, and I’m excited to finally share it with everyone.”

Had My Fill will be available on all major streaming platforms beginning July 16th, 2026.
