Tim Hortons is proud to announce that nearly $18.8 million was raised through the sales of Smile Cookies this year, supporting over 600 charities and community groups across Canada and in the United States, $12,407 to be donated to Bruce Peninsula Hospitals Foundation.
Restaurant owners from Hepworth & Wiarton are donating 100% of proceeds from sales of Smile Cookies to Bruce Peninsula Hospitals Foundation this spring.
Tim Hortons restaurant owners and millions of generous Canadians across the country combined raised nearly $18.8 million in Smile Cookie sales for more than 600 charities across Canada and in the United States.
This year in Hepworth and Wiarton, local Tim Hortons restaurant owners Bill & Sarah Trude and guests helped raise $12,407 to support Bruce Peninsula Hospitals Foundation. The Wiarton and Hepworth Tim Hortons Restaurants have made such a positive and lasting impact on local health care through this national fundraising campaign. That brings a total of $99,032 raised for Bruce Peninsula patient care through Smile Cookie over the last 25 years!
Kevin Walsh, Chair of Bruce Peninsula Hospitals Foundation shared “It’s wonderful that local charities benefit from the Tim Hortons national fundraising campaign, Smile Cookie. We are super blessed that the Trude family chose to support local health care which so greatly benefits the people of the Bruce Peninsula and neighbouring communities.”
“We’d like to extend a huge thank you to every Tims guest who supported our annual Smile Cookie campaign this year. Through your generosity and support, we’re collectively making a big impact for more than 600 charities and community groups,” says Axel Schwan, President of Tim Hortons.
Wiarton & Hepworth Tim Hortons Owner, Bill Trude expressed his appreciation for the local success of this national campaign “Sarah and I are very excited to be able to work with the Bruce Peninsula Hospitals Foundation and raise funds through the sales of the Tim Hortons Smile Cookie. Being new to the community after taking over the Hepworth and Wiarton restaurants in January 2024, we were thrilled to be able to carry on a strong relationship with the Hospital Foundation and were blown away by the community support, through the Smile Cookie campaign, that led to the donation amount. We look forward to being able to contribute to the community for many years to come.”
