On the summer solstice and the beginning of summer in Lion’s Head was the start of the Harbourside Summer music series. Patrons were excited at the return of this popular Friday night event, describing the music on opening night as “excellent, enjoyable, delightful”. Co-Organizer Rod Layman was pleased that the weather cooperated after a day of rain, saying that the first of this summer long concert series was a great success.

On June 21, 2024 at the Harbourside side at the Lion’s Head Beach, Heather Bryans emceed the event, popular local musician Scott Parent, a regular at Harbourside over the years, with his music described as “folk roots” with a mix of well-known folk songs from past decades and his original compositions.
The second act was Django’s Kitchen. This Kingston-based group thrilled the audience with their performance of the music of jazz guitarist Django Reinhardt.
