One of the signature events of Homecoming Weekend is the Lion’s Head Annual Homecoming Street Dance which returned after a two-year absence due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

A major fundraiser for the Bruce Peninsula Family Centre, the Street Dance on July 30, 2022 raised about $8,000. Organizers estimated about 690 adults plus kids attended the event starting at 8 p.m.

Earlier in the evening, Main Street was filled with families and kids enjoying an evening out, and being entertained by Adam Hellyer. The Booth food truck was busy serving up their delicious fare while adults enjoyed sitting at the tables sipping alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

As the evening progressed, there was a definite street party vibe, as people packed the space to dance and enjoy the music.

The Booth Food Truck served up beef on a bun, pulled pork on a bun, burgers, hotdogs, sausages and chips to hungry party-goers.
The headline act was The Roadshow. The group is a collaboration of members from Horseshoes and Hand Grenades and Midnight Blue.
