Peninsula Bruce Trail Club is featuring monthly historic walking tours during July, August and September.
Learning about the culture and history of the area can help visitors broaden their visitation experience and provide an opportunity for local residents to share their story.
Sixth generation resident, Hazel Smith tells the colonial settler’s story of life in Tobermory from 1850 to present. Marg Glendon, Peninsula Bruce Trail Club member will start the walking tour with a few Bruce Trail tales and tips for hiking the Bruce Trail on the Peninsula.
Pre-registration is required. This is a fundraiser for the Peninsula Bruce Trail Club and will help to maintain the Bruce Trail and Nature Reserves on the Peninsula. For more information: www.pbtc.ca and pbtc.historicwalk@gmail.com
