The final details for the SWANS main fundraiser of the year were discussed at our April meeting and the posters for the “Bring on Summer” Fashion Show were distributed for members to put about the community. We hope you will be able to join us for an evening of fashions and desserts on May 8th at the arena auditorium in Lion’s Head. Tickets are available at Bear Tracks at a cost of $25. Cash only please.
Just a friendly reminder, PLEASE NOTE, there is no dinner option, but amazing desserts will be offered at the intermission.
The SWANS are very appreciative for the support we have received in the past and look forward to a FUN evening this year.
I was hoping by now, we could remark on all the beautiful weather that we have been having but it’s spotty at best. Trusting everyone enjoyed the Easter Weekend. It is always nice to get together with friends and family, so a long weekend is perfect!
The SWANS held their regular April meeting, however the turnout was poor due to the weather. It definitely was not a nice evening to venture outside but some members made it and there were discussions regarding our upcoming events.
One of our Club’s responsibilities is to complete a Roadside Cleanup along Highway 6 from Cherryhill Road to the Lindsay Tract Trails Parking Lot and this will be happening on April 24th. I can hardly wait to see the amount of garbage collected this Spring, I am always amazed and totally discouraged by the amount of litter!
