Free Community Day for Local Residents August 10 at Bruce Peninsula National Park

TOBERMORY, ON – Residents of the Municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula and Anishinabek of Saugeen Ojibway Nation will once again have an opportunity to enjoy reservation-free access to Bruce Peninsula National Park’s most popular destinations during Community Days 2026 on July 11 and August 10.

During designated timeslots on both days, parking reservation fees will be waived for eligible residents visiting the Grotto (Cyprus Lake) and Halfway Log Dump. No reservation is required. Visitors should be prepared to provide proof of residency upon arrival at the gatehouse, such as a driver’s license, status card, Tax bill, or other valid identification.

On August 10, residents will have access to Halfway Log Dump from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the Grotto from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Visitors attending on August 10 are also invited to a special presentation from the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources at 12 p.m. at the Cyprus Lake Campground HUB, featuring the latest findings from the province’s black bear research study.

Community Days are a special opportunity for the local community to enjoy Bruce Peninsula National Park, to reconnect with nature, explore a truly unique landscape, and feel pride in having such an extraordinary place close to home.
