The BPDS (Bruce Peninsula District School) Outers Program would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make the School’s Out, Summer’s Here BBQ Fundraiser a tremendous success!
On Saturday, July 4, Outers students cooked and served food by donation from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Wilson Home Hardware. We are especially grateful to TLMH Riverside Farms for their incredible generosity in donating all of the beef burgers served at the event. Riverside Farms also donated the proceeds from all sales of beef jerky, pepperettes, frozen burger packs, and seafood items ordered that day.
A total of $2,205 was raised through community donations for the 165 burgers and 30 hot dogs served, Wilson Home Hardware’s generous donation of $100 for each BPDS Outer who helped run the event, and proceeds from TLMH Riverside Farms product purchased that day. These funds will go toward gear improvements for the 2026–2027 BPDS Outers trips, helping provide students with memorable and meaningful outdoor learning experiences for years to come.
Thanks to the support of EPH, Wilson’s Home Hardware, and TLMH Riverside Farms for advertising and organizing this event, as well as the many community members who stopped by to support the program. The fundraiser was a tremendous success!
