The art gallery has been repainted red and rebranded as the Red Schoolhouse Gallery. The name pays homage to the building’s original purpose – a one room rural schoolhouse. The Gallery also has new roadside signage.

Until October 12th, the Red Schoolhouse Gallery is open every Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 5pm.

Rebecca Suzanne Michie, one of 12 permanent member artists, is an OCAD University graduate having majored in Illustration with a minor in Printmaking. She is passionate about allegorical expressions of the female, particularly in ancient folk myth, legend and religion. Exploring themes of sisterhood, patriarchy and ancestral legacy, she works mostly in oil paint and relief print. Rebecca is also greatly inspired by the natural world. In her work you will find sunsets, birds, fish, flowers and trees, all inspired by the beauty of the Bruce.

Guest artist Kelly Fletcher is a self-taught mixed-media artist living on 28 wooded acres in the North Saugeen Peninsula. Originally a graphic designer, Kelly became completely mesmerized when she discovered the unpredictability of fluid art. In her studio, she combines fluid acrylic paint with various ingredients to create spontaneous works that are inspired by the beauty and chaos of nature that surrounds us here on the Bruce. Kelly’s artwork has been featured in various shows across the Grey and Bruce regions, earning a People’s Choice award and a spot in the 2025 Bruce Trail Conservancy Calendar.
