After a very busy summer for the club, we are about to embark on a very active fall. We now have 177 members who all enjoy doing different activities.
The highlight of our summer was a trip to Drayton to the theatre to see Yesterday Once More, which was quite an active musical. We had a picnic on the way there and supper at Pebbles on the way home, all paid for by the club – just one of the perks of being a member.
We had three barbeques this summer, which were all paid for by the club. It has been a great summer.
But now, onto the fall, starting off with our first craft day with Nicole starting next week, which we’re all looking forward to.
Our luncheon on Thursday, the first of this season, is seven dollars and there’s still room to sign up.
All our regular activities: cards, chair yoga, line dancing and rug hooking are all open and ready to go.
Our next trip is to St Jacobs on Thursday October 23, with a tour of downtown and onto the St Jacobs Theatre to see a play, then to Anna Mae’s for supper, all for a cost of $35. We still have two tickets available. If you’re interested please contact us.
Our monthly supper for September is already sold out. October tickets will be available before the end of the month.
If you’re a senior and you’re sitting at home saying, it’s going to be a long fall and winter, come out and join us. We have so many activities and it’s all about getting out and meeting new people and old friends.
Our October luncheon, which is the second Thursday of the month at 11:30am, is a lunch and learn – and it’s free. A great way to come out and experience the club. We are having a guest speaker, lawyer Nicole Jensen. You must be signed up so we know how many to cook for.
