Pam McCowan, Red Schoolhouse Gallery member artist, has found an outlet for her acrylic, oils and pastel paintings of local landscapes, focussing on the Bruce and the eastern shore of Georgian Bay. Her other medium is clay. Her sculptures, in their animation, are meant to evoke a lighthearted view of human nature and have become collectors’ items. Gargoyles, or grotesques, also may be part of her current display. Pam has shown in Collingwood, Owen Sound, Southampton and overseas. Since 1979, Pam and her studio have settled permanently in Grey Bruce.

Suzanne Dyke has resided full-time on the Bruce Peninsula for over 40 years. She studied visual arts at the University of Guelph, Western Ontario, and taught art at the secondary level. Suzanne offers senior art classes in Lion’s Head and she tutors private students in her backyard studio and at various outdoor locations. She creates works in acrylic, watercolor, and pastel that are heavily influenced by the nature that surrounds her on the Bruce Peninsula.

During July and August, the Red Schoolhouse Gallery is open every Thursday to Monday from 11am to 5pm.
