On 5 July 2025, prior to the opening of the Lion’s Head Hospital Auxiliary’s annual garage sale at the Lion’s Head Arena, the Hospital Auxiliary’s volunteers assembled to present a cheque for $90,000 to the Lion’s Head Hospital. On hand to receive the cheque were Ann Ford, CEO Brightshores Health System, and local doctors Dr. Shannon Vanderstelt and Dr. Claire Bodkin.
The total sum of $90,000 will go directly to the Lion’s Head Hospital to purchase a new dishwasher, a transport ventilator and an automated dispensing unit.
Ford thanked the 80 volunteers of the Lion’s Head Hospital Auxiliary and the community for supporting the fundraising efforts for the local hospital.
