Every year our Branch Poppy Fund makes a donation to the Charitable Foundation of Ontario Command. These donations go to help veterans and the community at large. The grant to the Peninsula Family Health Team is on behalf of the Royal Canadian Legion Ontario Command Branches and the Ladies’ Auxiliary Charitable Foundation.
“The Peninsula Family Health Team is extremely fortunate to have received a 2024 grant from the Royal Canadian Legion’s Charitable Foundation of Ontario Command. This grant will fund the purchase of a new power exam room bed for the Lion’s Head clinic site.” said Pamela Loughlean.
This is the first power exam room bed for the clinic site, and it will immediately provide benefits to both patients and staff. One of the best features of the bed is that it can be raised or lowered with the push of a button, allowing an easy transfer for a patient from a walker, chair, rollator or wheelchair.
The staff and physicians of the Peninsula Family Health Team extend a warm thank you to the members of the local Royal Canadian Legion Branch 202 for helping to support healthcare on the Peninsula!
