Pete Dean is stepping down as a board member of the Tobermory Hyperbaric Facility (THF). Many in the community know Pete as wearing many different hats: fisherman; dive boat Captain; boat builder (built the tug W.A. Spears); assisted in the salvage, towing and sinking of the Caroline Rose – a new dive site for the area; welder and fabricator at his business Tobercrafts; beekeeper; a founder of the Tobermory Medical Clinic Auxiliary; board member and former chair of the Bruce Peninsula Health Services; served on local council; was involved in establishing the Neighbourhood Watch program; neighbour; friend; and, hero (received the medal of bravery for rescue of the Avalon Voyageur crew).

From its inception in 1976, Pete was a supporter of the hyberbaric chamber; not only as a THF board member; he was also instrumental in having the new chamber installed. His insights and valuable assistance with the hyperbaric facility will be missed.

Thank you Pete, for your dedication and service!

From all of us at the Tobermory Hyperbaric Chamber.
