Merry Christmas and Happy New Year From Tobermory Primary Place (TPP)! What a year we have had, lots of changes that have taken adjusting to, but we are in the new center at St Edmunds Public School and things could not be going better.
Andrea Edgerton is the Supervisor of the center and has hired lots of new friendly faces. We also found a full-time cook that makes our team at Tobermory Primary Place complete. Thank you Mary Lou! This team of local staff show their dedication to our kids and center daily, providing programs, activities, a safe space and adventures for all seasons. Thank you for everything you all do for our kids and families!
Although we are here now, this journey has not been a short or easy one. We would not be here today without former Supervisor Andrea Munn’s dedication to making the move happen, not to mention the commitment of our Board of Directors, and all of our volunteers and sponsors each year. Thank you!
One of our goals was to raise money for our new outdoor play equipment at the center and we reached that goal this summer thanks to local donations along with our center’s regular fundraising events. Special thanks to the Ladies Auxiliary, Church Yard Sale, Las Chulas and And Rod’s Pig Roast, who specifically donated towards this initiative in 2024, and thank you to everyone else who donated to help make this happen for our kids!
We would not be able to achieve all these milestones and run smoothly without the support of this amazing community, whether you are purchasing what we sell, being a sponsor, a local business donating money or prizes every little bit helps and for that we are truly thankful!
