There will be a different sight at Foodland in Lion’s Head on Homecoming Weekend. The Northern Bruce Peninsula Fire Department will be stationed at Hellyer’s Foodland on Saturday August 5 from 10 am to 3 pm. Pre-packaged grocery bags for $10 or $20 will be available for purchase. Other needed items are pasta sauce, cereal, coffee, canned meats, canned fruit and vegetables. Foodland gift cards are also helpful to the Foodbank.
Every donation is gratefully accepted and used to feed those struggling to make ends meet financially. Come out and help fill the Fire Truck and meet some of our local firefighters.
Pet Food Collection
The Lion’s Head & District Food Bank is now collecting pet food. Full or part bags are welcome. Donations can be placed in the bin outside the food bank at 2627 Hwy 6 just south of Ferndale. Make sure you fasten the lock at the top of the bin to keep critters out.
