Lion’s Head Friendship Club Welcoming New Members

Spring is about to emerge after a busy winter at the Friendship Club in Lion’s Head.

Our 2023 Membership Drive is still on and open to new members, with approximately 100 members who have already joined this year.

It has been a busy winter. Surprisingly enough, we’ve only cancelled cards twice, and not one of our many other functions, due to the weather. Our monthly dinners have featured many great meals, one of them, a pizza supper with salad and homemade pies, which was all free to members and catered to by Bear Tracks Restaurant. We then had enough left over we even had a free lunch day.

We have a regular full course meal on the last Saturday of the month at a cost of only $12 for members. On the 2nd Thursday of the month we have a luncheon and a fun bingo for $7. Cards take place three times a week with a discounted rate for members. It does make that $20 membership fee almost free with all the free things we do.

Last month’s dinner was a Roast Beef dinner with a great turn out of about 50 people.

So, if you’re interested in coming out – meeting new friends or old in a friendly, safe environment, please give us a call. If you enjoy cooking we can always use a hand in our kitchen.

Many thanks to our sponsors, the Municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula, Lion’s Head Bottle Drive and Bear Tracks Restaurant.

Please call 519-375-0959 for any info and tickets to any of our functions.
