Tobermory Primary Pace Childcare Center (TPP) held a St Patrick’s Day Skating Fundraiser on March 17 at the Lion’s Head Arena.

On the first day of spring-like weather in Lion’s Head for 2022, community members, their families and friends visiting for March Break headed to the indoor ice rink for a skate and to participate in the activities.

Approximately $1,500.00 was raised and over 100 kids, parents and grandparents attended the event between 11 am and 2 pm.

Lead organizer and TPP Board Member Megan Robins was happy with the attendance, saying it was “way more than expected.” She was joined by other board members who volunteered at the event.

On the upper floor of the arena there were events for the entire family; such as face painting, crafts table, book reading, guessing games, kids Silent Auction Table, candy apples, book reading, hot dogs, baked goods and much more.

Robins specially thanked Mary Robbins of the Arena Booth for cooking all the hot dogs for the event and Bobby Hofstrand, Arena Manager for all the assistance on having the arena facilities ready for the event.
