For the month of March, Nancy Davis of the Handicraft House has been accepting donations of cat and dog food to benefit local pets in need, a program she has been coordinating with the Salvation Army Foodbank since 2007.
Donations were sitting just over 1,000 lbs as of March 18th, as well as approximately $500.00 in cash donations – an excellent start.
“We are hoping to surpass last year’s donations of 2,712 lbs” said Nancy. “We have a way to go and in spite of all the craziness in the world right now, we are hoping folks will continue to come out and support this very worthy cause.”
All donations stay on the Bruce Peninsula helping local furry friends in need. Anyone wishing to also make food donations to the local foodbank can drop items off at the Handicraft House and Nancy will make sure that they get delivered.
Thank you to everyone that has contributed so far.
