This year the Bruce Peninsula Biosphere Association will celebrate 20 years of implementing conservation and stewardship projects aimed at protecting this beautiful place we call home. Maybe your family has participated in one of our astronomy evenings, eco adventure forest escapes or hikes (www.myecoadventures.ca) rode the 2019 Gran Fondo gravel bike ride or helped us cut invasive phragmites from local water ways.

If you have some free time and care about restoring water quality in our streams and lakes, preserving the Peninsula’s dark skies and protecting endangered wildlife, we hope you will consider joining us. The Bruce Peninsula Biosphere Association is dedicated to working with willing landowners to take practical, concrete action to conserve the environment and build the local economy. We need more people interested in helping as Board members in the areas of finance, communications, project planning, organizing volunteers, and coordinating field work. We strive to represent different sectors of the community (farming, tourism etc.) and all areas of the Northern Bruce.

To put your name forward for election and make a contribution as a member of the Board of Directors of the Association, you are invited to contact Elizabeth Thorn, Board Chair by e-mail: elizabeth@thorn.ca, or phone: (519) 377-5166.

The Biosphere Association is a registered charity dedicated to building community capacity for ecological conservation and sustainable economic development while achieving measurable conservation results. For more information, please see www.bpba.ca
