The CRC Family Curling Bonspiel was held on February 9 in Lion’s Head. Chris and Katie Reimer-Catteau decided to do something different this year. Instead of door prizes, they ran a “hit the button” skills competition. Willing participants paid $10.00 to try to hit the button, with a pledge from CRC General Contracting to match dollar for dollar any funds raised. Chris & Katie presented a cheque for $600.00 to Darlene Myles, Coordinator of the Lion’s Head & District Food Bank. Generosity like this is wonderful on the Peninsula where food bank needs increase this time of year.
