On Saturday, August 15th at 7:30 PM at Rotary Hall, Tagwerk Bier Brewmaster Christian Von Der Heide will present ‘From Concept to Keg’, a talk to ‘walk us through the craft of brewing – from the first idea for a recipe all the way to the finished keg. Come with your questions and thirst for good beer.’ There will also be a ‘first taste of Oktoberfest 2026 … a sneak preview of what’s coming Saturday, September 26th at Rotary Hall – live music, beer and more.’ Hope to see you there!

Two Friday Pub Nights will take place at Rotary Hall this month on August 14th and 28th from 7:00 PM until late in the evening.

Come join us for coffee, tea and snacks at the Community Café being held at Rotary Hall, Tuesday through Thursday mornings from 8:00 until noon. These Community Cafés are sponsored and hosted by your local Rotary Club on Tuesdays, Lion’s Head Hospital Auxiliary on Wednesdays, and Golden Dawn Senior Citizens Home on Thursdays. Please note that these morning Cafés may be cancelled if Rotary Hall renovations are in progress, and any schedule changes will be posted on our facebook page and Club website.

Rotarians and Friends of Rotary prepared and served delicious pancake breakfasts to 226 customers at Rotary Hall on Sunday, August 2nd. In addition to tables and chairs set up in the now air-conditioned Rotary Hall, there was also seating on the street-side patio as well as picnic tables under the tent on the north side of the Hall.

Our fourth and final community Pancake Breakfast this season will be held at Rotary Hall on Sunday, September 6th.

Rotary thanks our ‘Friends of Rotary’ who regularly volunteer their time to help preparing and serving at our community Pancake Breakfasts, and we are especially thankful for our individual and business sponsors of pancake breakfasts who help defray the costs of putting on these events, allowing Rotary to return more money directly to our community. A full list of our 2026 sponsors can be found on our facebook page (facebook.com/RotaryNBP/) and Clubweb site (www.rotarynbp.org/).

Ellie recently graduated from Bruce Peninsula District High School and is off to Belgium on a year-long Rotary exchange, before returning to post-secondary studies at University of Toronto. Ellie was also presented with a Rotary Club jacket and other gifts at the BBQ get-together to mark the occasion. We wish Ellie good luck and a wonderful learning experience during the course of her Rotary exchange to Belgium! Bon Voyage, Ellie!
