The Red Schoolhouse Gallery is now open for the 2026 season. During May, June, September and October, the gallery is open every Saturday, Sunday and holiday Monday from 11am to 5pm. During July and August, the gallery is open from Thursday to Monday.

Tobermory resident, Janet Whittington, is one of 12 permanent member artists at the Red Schoolhouse Gallery.  She creates timeless, artisanal jewellery featuring intricate multi-cultural motifs, using precious metals and semi-precious gemstones. Janet applies textures to soft and pliable forms of silver, forms components, and fires them in a small jeweller’s kiln, leaving behind pure sintered silver.  The result is handcrafted, one-of-a-kind jewellery.

Creating with glass is Susan Miller’s passion and joy. The colours and sparkle of the medium never cease to amaze and delight her.  Susan melts glass in kilns to create two and three-dimensional artworks which are deeply inspired by water and the breathtaking flora and fauna of the Bruce Peninsula. Grey-Bruce has been Susan’s home for most of her life and she continues to discover and interpret its beauty. At times, Susan’s work becomes more intimate as she explores and represents the life journey of the human soul in glass.
