Join us for Orchid Fest, an afternoon celebrating the remarkable native orchids of the Saugeen (Bruce) Peninsula. This special event invites nature lovers, artists, and curious visitors to explore the beauty, ecology, and conservation of these fascinating wildflowers.
Hosted by Friends of Bruce District Parks and delivered in collaboration with Parks Canada, the Owen Sound Field Naturalists, and the Peninsula Bruce Trail Club, Orchid Fest is designed to deepen appreciation for the region’s native orchids and inspire action to safeguard them.
The afternoon will feature an expert speaker, orchid-inspired arts and crafts, and information on the unique habitats where these sensitive plants grow. Visitors will also learn how to observe orchids responsibly and help protect these fragile ecosystems.
Save the date for Saturday, June 13, 2026, 2:00 PM. Space will be limited, and advance registration will be required. Program details and registration information will be shared soon. Mark your calendar now for this special afternoon celebrating and protecting native orchids.
