On October 14, the winning ticket for the Tobermory Health Services Auxiliary (THSA) lottery was drawn. We are pleased to announce that Bev Dywan of Tobermory is the lucky winner of $2,185.00.

Residents of the Golden Dawn Nursing Home are the real winners though. Proceeds from the lottery will be used to purchase an IT Digital Life Enrichment Package. This includes a projector, a 100 inch screen and Virtual Reality Glasses that will enable Zoom and Facetime calls to families, watching movies for the visually impaired, virtual exercise and range of motion classes and therapy for residents with behavioral challenges. Our thanks to all who supported this worthwhile cause.

The Auxiliary also held a fundraising dance on September 28 in support of the North Bruce Volunteer Fire Department. Money raised through this event will go towards upgrading safety equipment for the firefighters. More details will follow in the next edition of the Press.
