Lin Souliere, guest artist at the gallery, has worked and lived in the forest near Lion’s Head for 28 years at her studio, Dragonfly Ridge Studio. Her paintings are watercolour on canvas/rag paper and acrylic on canvas. Exploring the relationship between ancient forests on the BC West Coast, rock cliffs on the Bruce Peninsula, Canadian Shield rock along Georgian Bay, how the trees connect with each other, and how the rock bears witness to thousands of years of history, are her focus and inspiration. Lin likes complexity and patterns in her compositions.
Guest artist, Terri Munn, has a passion for translating the things she sees every day into timeless works of art. Using a simple acrylic paint palette of six colours, along with a dash of white, Terri looks to the beautiful Saugeen-Bruce Peninsula for inspiration. Old barns, Bruce Trail vistas, laneways and sweet local homes first capture her attention, and then she creates painted versions of these motifs. Terri loves to experiment with colour, and more and more clouds are creeping into her paintings.

During July and August, the gallery is open every Thursday to Monday from 11am to 5pm. The Red Schoolhouse Gallery is an artist-run cooperative gallery, located at 2866 Hwy 6 in Ferndale, ON.
