Harbourside Music, Lion’s Head Summer Music & Music on the Bruce
Submitted by Dominik Franken
Spring has officially arrived and warm summer nights are just around the corner. What a great time to plan your summer music entertainment!
Harbourside Music
Starting Friday, June 19, we welcome you to the Harbourside Stage in Lion’s Head. Every Friday evening at 7pm we feature three musical performances of varying styles. Most musicians are local. You will be amazed at the wealth of talent right here on the peninsula. All these events are free to attend and are made possible in part by your donations. While performers receive a small financial token to help with expenses the events are organized and run by volunteers.
The lineup for this summer is taking shape; should you want to perform or know of anybody who you want to see in action, please contact Dominik Franken at 226-921-4301. For the exact lineups of performers check our Facebook page “Harbourside” or watch the newspaper. Harbourside Music winds down on Labour Day Weekend.
Lion’s Head Summer Music
2026 will see Lion’s Head Summer Music in its fifth season and will run from Monday, July 27 to Friday, July 31. Each evening you will be treated to music that is mostly from the classical genre. Enjoy The Georgian Bay Woodwind Quintet, the Southampton Concert Band, a historical journey through music, the Spirit Singers and the string orchestra Rosin Dust.
These events are made possible by a grant from the municipality, our kind sponsors and donations from the audience. All events are happening on the Harbourside Stage in Lion’s Head at 7pm and are free to attend. Thanks to the generous support of the municipality the musicians will perform on a new, spacious stage, which was planned and built by local musicians and the members of the Bruce Men’s Shed.
For the exact lineup visit our Facebook page “Lion’s Head Summer Music” and watch for newspaper announcements and posters. Please contact Dominik Franken at 226-921-4301 for more information.

Music on the Bruce
Also in its fifth year, Music on the Bruce (MOTB) takes place Monday, August 24 to Saturday, August the 30th. Sarah Pratt-Parsamian founded this classical music venture in 2021. Music on the Bruce features a mixture of indoor and outdoor concerts, collaborations with local musicians, children’s events, open rehearsals, and much more! The MOTB artists are professional musicians, who perform throughout the year with world-class orchestras and chamber ensembles across Canada and the USA.
