Heading into our 2nd full year, Tobermory E-bike Rentals is looking forward to a busy summer season. Before that starts, The Meeting Place (TMP) is looking to hire a summer student to work with the E-Bike Program; customer service, social media, business processes and even bike repair. The skills that a student will learn are wide open. We are looking for a confident student between ages 16-30 who must be in a school/learning program. A great job for someone wanting a slower pace work day and lots of positive interaction.
The next thing on our work plan is reaching out to seasonal workers who might want to consider renting an E-bike by the month for work, recreation and leisure. Applications for TMP Affordable Transportation program are now open for seasonal workers with preference to those who live all year round in the North Bruce. This spring, Tobermory E-Bike Rentals is looking to increase ridership in May and June and we especially want to invite local residents to come out with a group of friends and rent bikes for a couple of hours. As you know, spring is a wonderful time to explore the back roads of the North Bruce. The E-Bike Rental kiosk at 20 Centennial Drive will be open around May 1st for self-serve rentals. Also, look for community information on E-bike Guided Tours and lots of co-promotion with community events and activities to enjoy the spring.
The E-Bike Team is working on a dedicated website for Tobermory E-Bike Rentals, launching a pre-booking system for visitors and other biking information. We’ll keep you posted. And finally, our Team is looking for a dedicated volunteer to work with our fleet manager, assisting for a couple of hours a week with bike safety checks and other assigned duties. The Tobermory E-Bike Rentals is a Social Enterprise which means all the revenue goes right back into supporting the community through TMP.
