A popular prelude to the annual Lion’s Head Canada Day Parade are hot dogs and cake served in front of White’s Garage. Starting at 5:30 p.m. the local fire service staff, their families and friends were busy keeping up with the demand for hot dogs and cake as the local community turned up in large numbers. The hot dogs and cake are funded by the Lion’s Head Community Bottle Fund.

Starting at 7 p.m at the Bruce Peninsula District School, horses, tractors, fire engines, a monster truck, ATVs, vintage cars and a vintage truck, heavy equipment, mascots, singing ladies of the Hospital Auxiliary and numerous floats sponsored by various local clubs and associations thrilled the crowds in the 40 minute long event as the parade wound its way through downtown Lion’s Head.

The young parade goers were thrilled to collect candy, frisbees, beach balls and other loot tossed out by the parade floats.
