On the afternoon 9 May 2025, youth from Bethel Evangelical Missionary Church, representatives of the Three Water Foundation and volunteers from the Bruce Peninsula Environment Group (BPEG) spent approximately three hours cleaning the beachfront and lake bed at the Lion’s Head beach and marina.
Freedivers (Andrew, Billy, Scott and Adam) hauled out the trash from underwater, while Acadia, Thalassa and Ginga, representing the Three Water Foundation, were on SUPs and moved the trash to shore and located other trash sites in the water for the divers. The Bethel youth hauled away the garbage in bags and in a wheelbarrow.
Some of the things found were a bottle of balsamic vinaigrette, tires, Canadian flag, brushes, mug, clothes, toys, slime, rusted nails, bucket of concrete, fishing lures, snowplow markers and a drone.
