The MS Chi Cheemaun returned to her Tobermory berth on May 1st. Approximately 25 people, from small children to seniors, stood shivering in the cold wind to welcome her back. The ship began her 51st season of regularly scheduled trips to and from Manitoulin Island on May 2nd.

“Crane Day”, an exciting day in Tobermory Harbour, marked by the lifting of boats from dry land and placing them gently into the harbour waters for another season, coincided with Federal Election Day this year, April 28th.

Two of Tobermory’s Flowerpot Island tour boats began their regular cruises on May 2nd. Although the water levels are low this year, they were able to safely navigate the waters of Beachy Cove, tie up to the dock and enable visitors to enjoy this beautiful Parks Canada location.
