Community Invited to 8am Ribbon Cutting and Re-Opening Ceremony
By Joanne Rodgers, Bruce Peninsula Press
Kyle and Kara Hellyer, their family, and their staff are excited to announce that Hellyer’s Foodland will re-open on June 13 2024.
Some exterior work is still being completed and staff are busy inside getting everything ready. Barring unforeseen glitches, the Foodland in Lion’s Head will be open for business at 8 a.m. on June 13th.
The Lion’s Head Foodland has been closed and undergoing renovations for the past 10.5 months, after a fire was inadvertently started while maintenance work was being performed on August 29, 2023. Many of the local merchants stepped up during the closure, providing some essential grocery items to the Lion’s Head and area community.
There will be a short opening ceremony and ribbon cutting in front of the store starting at 8 a.m. The community is invited to attend.
