We are pleased to invite you to the Bruce Peninsula Biosphere Association Annual General Meeting /2023 in review at the Lion’s Head Rotary Hall on Monday June 19th at 7 pm. This year’s keynote speaker will be Daryl Cowell, speaking on the topic of karst geology of the Saugeen Bruce Peninsula.

Daryl was born in Hamilton, Ontario where he attended McMaster University in the geology and physical geography program. He specialized in karst geomorphology – the study of the formation of caves and associated landforms.

He began to study the geology and karst of the Niagara Escarpment and the Saugeen Bruce Peninsula through his undergraduate and Masters’ theses research. He moved to the Tobermory area in 2002 where he now works as an independent geoscience consultant. In 2004, he co-authored a book on the Geology and Landforms of Grey and Bruce Counties produced by the Owen Sound Field Naturalists.

The Annual General Meeting is an evening to find out about all the Biosphere Association’s programs and efforts over the past year. As a member, it is your chance to have your voice heard and to vote on motions put forward at the meeting.

If you are not yet a member, you can go https://www.bpba.ca/. All are welcome. Please let us know by RSVPing at: https://www.bpba.ca/AGM_2024 if you will be able to attend.
