The The Lion’s Head & District Food Bank (LHDFB) continues to purchase food items from the funds donated through Christ Church’s Christmas fundraiser, “Gifts of Gratitude”.

We were able to provide substantial Christmas and Easter holiday hampers as well as more than usual regular hampers. Peacocks Foodland in Tobermory have been incredibly helpful in ordering food items needed by the Food Bank for the past 8 months while our local grocery store has been closed. We are very grateful for their assistance.

Special thanks to John Power, Food Bank volunteer driver, for driving to Tobermory to pick up food items and also for his willingness to deliver hampers as needed.

It takes a community to make a difference and Food Bank volunteers appreciate the amazing community support for our programs.

BPDS Students Continue to Support Lion’s Head Food Bank

Secondary Students at Bruce Peninsula District School participated in a Toonie Collection for Easter. The Students’ Council matched the amount collected and presented a cheque of $200.00 to The Lion’s Head & District Food Bank.
