South Bruce Peninsula, February 6, 2024 – The Town of South Bruce Peninsula is thrilled to announce that it has successfully entered into a binding agreement with Sobeys for the acquisition of a prime property located at 370 William Street and Pt Lt 5 Div S Berford E/S. This strategic move comes as a result of the Town’s commitment to enhancing municipal facilities and providing residents with improved services. 

The chosen property, conveniently situated in Wiarton and within walking distance of all downtown amenities, is poised to complement existing services and recreational facilities in the area. Its flat topography adds to its appeal, ensuring ease of access to both the site and the building. Furthermore, the ample parking space available will serve as a valuable asset, particularly during events hosted at the nearby Bluewater Park. 

Mayor Kirkland expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition, stating, “This new Town Hall location aligns with our vision for a more accessible and community-centric municipal center. Secondly, its proximity to Bluewater Park offers exciting possibilities for the development of future programs and/or amenities.”
