The popular summer concert series, Harbourside Music, starts on June 23, 2023 at 7 p.m. at the Harbourside Stage located near the Lion’s Head Beach Pavilion.
Running from June 23 until August 25, the concerts are every Friday night. Typically each Friday night there are two or three acts.
The organizers are well-known local musicians Rod Layman, Gerry Gregory and Dominik Franken. The sound system for the concerts are managed by John Fenton and Brian Osbourne.
Admission is free, but donations are welcomed. The event is run solely on donations; musicians receive a small honorarium and other monies collected go towards the purchase of sound equipment.
For opening night, the performers are:
-7 p.m. Hipwaders
-7:30 p.m. The Makers
-8:00 p.m. Scott Parent
Over the summer, patrons will be able to enjoy the music from some of their longtime favorite performers such as Bobby Dean Blackburn, Ferndale Flats, McLaren Pipe and Drum Band, Johnny Ballard; and some new acts such as Burs known for their vocal harmonies.

Harbourside blends their sound with Lion’s Head Summer Music
On August 11, the regularly scheduled Friday concert will be combined with the Lion’s Head Summer Music Festival. On this evening, the performance will be a Musical journey around the world.

The organizers remind patrons to bring lawn chairs, blankets and other appropriate clothing as the nights could get cool.
