The members of the Club, in support of the Lions Foundation of Canada, is pleased to announce the upcoming Walk for Dog Guides event, which will be held on Sunday, June 4, 2023, in the Village of Lion’s Head. This exciting event is sponsored by the Ferndale / Lion’s Head and District Lions Club and promises to be a day of fun, fitness, and fundraising for a great cause.
Last year’s event saw over twenty eager participants and their human walkers take part, and this year’s event promises to be even bigger and better. The proceeds from the Walk for Dog Guides will go towards the training of special needs dogs, which will ultimately help people with disabilities gain greater independence and mobility.
Registration for the event will take place at Lion’s Head Beach Park Pavilion at 1:00 PM on the day of the event. However, for those who prefer to register online, they can do so by visiting WalkforDogGuides.com and finding our event. Please note that our event this year will take place a week later than the planned national event.
“We’re thrilled to be hosting this event again this year and hope to see even more people come out to support our cause,” said Lion Sue Ellen Boyle, a spokesperson for the Ferndale / Lion’s Head and District Lions Club and local Chair of the endeavor. “The Walk for Dog Guides is an excellent opportunity for people to get involved in their community while helping a great cause.”
