The annual Sailboat races were held on the weekend of 17 and 18 September 2022. Organizer Ryan Matheson describes the two-day event, saying “Both race-days had fantastic, world-class sailing conditions which attracted 11 boats and crews. Saturday was sunny, with 10 knot winds from the south-southwest, gusting to 15 knots. In the first, 4-mile race, Wicked-R, a 32-foot Beneteau edged out the defending champions, the Elusive.

Later that day, the Calee, a beautiful Hughes 28, took first place in the 10-mile race. Going into Sunday, many boats were still in the running for the Ken Hodge Cup. The wind came even stronger out of the west for the final race which the Calee won handily. In the end, the 29-foot J-boat Aquila, and the Calee were tied for points overall, but the tiebreaker went to the Calee for their two first-place finishes. Congratulations to the Calee, Captain John Broad, and crew!”
The race also served as a Terry Fox fundraiser, and collected $1,120 in donations.
