Members of the Rotary Club of Wiarton present a cheque to Sandy Ashton and Martha McGloin in support of the Oxenden Indigenous Art Project.
The large mural of Ajiijak (The Crane) will be unveiled Saturday, August 13 on the wall of the old general store at the Oxenden crossroads. This piece of public art, by Anishnaabek artist Charmaine (Tauchkwe) Jenner, was commissioned by friends and neighbours of Oxenden as a symbol of their commitment to reconciliation.
